Operation of Model ZXQ-2S Self-produced Automatic Metallographic Mounting Press

In the precision process of metallographic sample preparation and analysis, the automatic mounting press serves as a key piece of equipment, and its performance and ease of operation directly affect the quality and efficiency of sample preparation. This metallographic mounting press is designed to prepare two samples in a single operation — a feature that not only improves the equipment’s space utilization rate but also further enhances the flexibility of the mounting process. By integrating double-layer mold structure technology, the equipment achieves high efficiency and stability in the sample mounting process, significantly optimizing the traditional mounting procedure.

Operation processes of model ZXQ-2S automatic metallographic mounting press as below:

1.Open the top cover of the automatic metallographic mounting pressand ensure that the working chamber is in an open state.

2.Press UP button on the control panel of the automatic metallographic mounting press to drive the lower mold up to the top limit position.

3.Place the first sample to be mounted steadily at the center of the lower mold.

4.Press the DOWNbutton of the automatic metallographic mounting press to retract the lower mold to the bottom working position.

5.Pour an appropriate amount of mounting powder evenly into the mold cavity of the automatic metallographic mounting press.

6.Place the dedicated spacer mold and manually push it down to the bottom of the mold cavity until it clicks into place.

7.Repeat step 3 to position and place the second sample.

8.Add a second layer of mounting powder to cover the surface of the sample.

9.Close the top cover of the automatic metallographic mounting press and ensure that the locking mechanism is fully engaged.

10.Adjust the required mounting parameters of the automatic metallographic mounting press according to the sample.

11.Start the automatic operation program of the automatic metallographic mounting press, and the system will complete hot-press forming and cooling according to the preset parameters.

12.After mounting is completed, open the top cover of the automatic metallographic mounting press.

13.Press UP button of the automatic metallographic mounting press to eject the formed module.

14.Hold the top cover of the automatic metallographic mounting press by hand to assist in taking out the finished products.

15.The mounted samples are now obtained.

Then, we can carry out metallographic structure analysis by metallographic microscope, or test its hardness by hardness tester.
