The SCV-6.0 Intelligent Vickers Hardness Tester adopts closed-loop control, which reduces testing costs and the operator’s influence on test results. It helps you achieve efficient and cost-effective low-load hardness testing, and is a precision testing instrument integrating advanced technology and high accuracy, designed specifically to meet diverse material testing requirements.

Featuring electronic loading, the tester offers a wide test force range from 10g to 10kg (10g to 50kg optional), fully covering the common micro test forces and ultra-low test forces used in the industrial sector. It can flexibly handle hardness testing challenges for various materials. With its superior performance and flexible configuration, it provides all-round support and assurance for your material testing.

This machine supports single-point and multi-point testing, including the following methods:

Application Scope

It is mainly used to measure the micro-hardness of metals, some non-metallic materials, and various films and coatings. It can test nitrided layers, carburized layers, quenched hardened layer gradients, hardened layer depths, and film thicknesses.

It is widely applied in hardness testing for various materials, including iron and steel, non-ferrous metals, IC wafers, thin plastics, metal foils, plating layers, coating layers, surface-hardened layers, laminated metals, hardened depths of heat-treated carburized layers, cemented carbides, ceramics, etc.

Product Functions

Automatic Measurement System

User-friendly Interface:Enables automatic control of the hardness tester, including automatic objective & indenter switching, auto-focusing (optional), and automatic loading control. The light intensity and dwell time can be configured. Users can select and control objective/indenter switching, with parameter changes reflected in the software interface. The software can command the indenter to automatically move to the loading position, perform loading, dwell, and unloading.

Stage Movement Control:Supports automatic point selection via mouse click on the interface. Users can set the start position for linear scanning and random position movement. The motorized X‑Y stage can be moved in any direction via mouse operation, with automatic homing and flexible coordinate reset. The software supports programmable stage movement, and can perform hardened layer gradient testing on specimens. It can store and access multiple specimens, apply different test programs to various specimens, and generate reports with individual test programs.

Data Output & Editing:Outputs various measurement data, hardness value tables, hardened layer depth, maximum value, average value, and minimum value. Displays and outputs the hardness gradient curve with corresponding hardness values.

Continuous marking and multi-point testing function:According to the testing requirements, the test line segment can be drawn. The hardness test can be performed by inputting parameters such as the distance between test points, the number of indentations, and the angle. Effective hardened layer curves and data can be output.

Profile Edge Scanning Function

The system can scan the complete contour of the specimen along its edge, allowing the operator to set the testing path or select measuring points directly.

The system will automatically adjust the starting point of the test line to the edge of the specimen. This function significantly improves the degree of automation and serves as an ideal auxiliary function for the automatic capture feature.
