Product Introduction

This Brinell hardness tester is integrated with a microcomputer. It features automatic switching between the objective and indenter, automatic loading control, automatic focusing, and automatic measurement to obtain hardness values.Via the touch screen, functions such as light source brightness adjustment, dwell time selection, turret control for objectives and indenters, hardness scale selection (indenter and test force), and data processing can be operated.

Application Scope

It is suitable for hardness testing of cast iron, steel, non-ferrous metals, soft alloys, and certain non-metallic materials. It can also test the hardness of rigid plastics, bakelite and other non-metallic materials.With a wide application range, it performs precise measurement on parallel planes and provides stable and reliable results on curved surfaces. It is widely used in factories, workshops, laboratories, colleges, universities and research institutions.

Main Unit Features

  • Loading System: Adopts fully automatic electronic closed-loop pressure sensor control system, which easily realizes automatic loading, dwell and unloading.
  • Automation Upgrade: Standard 5-station configuration (3 indenters, 2 objectives). Objectives and indenters switch automatically according to the selected scale. The instrument measures and observes with the preset indenter and objective, avoiding frequent indenter changes for different specimens and preventing indenter damage caused by mismatched indenters and test forces.
  • Product Appearance: Professional industrial design with larger workpiece capacity. The body is precision-cast with small deformation and more stable measurement values.
  • Touch Screen Operation: Built-in CCD automatic image measurement system with touch screen control. Indentation length and hardness data are saved in real time and displayed in list form, reducing operation difficulty. WORD or EXCEL reports can be generated.
  • Hardness Correction: Supports automatic correction for high, medium and low hardness ranges, further improving the accuracy of test results.
  • Force Curve Display: Displays real-time load force curve during testing, intuitively showing material characteristic changes in the loading process and facilitating observation of mechanical properties.
  • Hardness Conversion: Supports conversion between Rockwell, Brinell and other Rockwell scales for convenient comparison among different hardness standards. Latest ISO, ASTM, GB and other standard scale conversions are available.
  • Data Processing: Test results are stored automatically and can be reviewed at any time. Data can be printed via Bluetooth connection to a computer. Statistical functions include average value, mean square deviation, maximum and minimum values, facilitating uncertainty evaluation.
  • Instrument Configuration: Integrated hardness tester and measurement system. Built-in automatic Brinell indentation measurement system realizes efficient and accurate indentation diameter measurement and reading.

System Functions

Indentation Measurement The measuring unit of this hardness tester adopts computer digital image processing technology. Based on image processing algorithms and making full use of the computer’s cloud computing power for image data, it performs automatic, dynamic and real‑time measurement and calculation, enabling accurate and reliable determination of Brinell hardness values. This eliminates human influence on Brinell image measurement and improves measurement accuracy, reliability and working efficiency.

Software Functions The operating system is an intelligent image processing and analysis software developed with flexible testing technology. It features simple operation, clear interface and no visual error. Functions include indentation image display, dwell time setting, test force selection, objective and indenter switching, distance measurement, hardness conversion, report output and data statistics (upper and lower limits, average value, indentation diameter, maximum value, minimum value, test counts, etc.). It supports automatic recording of input parameters and real‑time display of measurement parameters. Test parameters and results can be managed via Word or Excel.

Measurement Modes Indentation measurement supports three modes: fully automatic measurement, circle‑drawing measurement and line‑locking measurement.

Hardness Conversion Measured Brinell hardness values can be converted to other scales according to American or international standards, including HV, HRA, HRB, HRC, HR15N, HR30N, HR45N, HR15T, HR30T, HR45T, etc.

Statistical Results Maximum value, minimum value, average value, standard deviation, Cp, Cpk and other data are generated automatically. Values out of upper and lower limits are marked automatically.

Test Report The software automatically generates test reports in Microsoft Word format, including measurement data, statistical results and indentation images.
